1. Information we collect
- Account and profile information. This includes your name, email address, state, account identifier, email-verification status, and account timestamps. League profiles may include your chosen display name, team name, biography, and avatar or color selections. Firebase Authentication handles account passwords and sign-in credentials.
- League and contest activity. We store memberships and roles, invitations, rosters, draft selections, picks, confidence rankings or tiebreaker predictions, scores, standings, submission times, and related league settings. We also store Smack Talk messages and replies you post.
- Information provided by others. A commissioner may enter your name or email address to invite you or assign you a place in a league. Event administrators may import wrestler, school, bracket, and result information from tournament sources.
- Communications. When you contact support, we receive the information you include. We also keep information used to send league emails and reminders, such as recipient addresses, notification eligibility, send times, and delivery or error status.
- Technical information. Our hosting, authentication, and service providers process information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, request timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service. The app also keeps preferences and recovery information in your browser.
2. Google account information
Regular participants sign in with email and password. Google sign-in is currently reserved for platform-owner access. When Google sign-in is used, Firebase Authentication receives basic Google account information, such as the account identifier, email address, name, and profile image if supplied by Google.
We use that information to authenticate the account, determine permitted access, and provide account-related app features. Google sign-in does not give this app access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendar, and the app does not request those permissions. We do not use Google account information for advertising.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts; verify sign-in and league access; run drafts, picks, scoring, standings, and league communications; deliver requested account and league emails; respond to support requests; maintain reliable service; and detect or investigate misuse and technical problems.
We use your information to operate and support the app. We do not sell or rent your personal information, share it with sponsors for their marketing, or maintain a separate marketing email list.
Account emails include verification and password-reset messages. League emails may include invitations, draft announcements or reminders, and weekly picks-open or deadline reminders. Messages depend on your account, league participation, and the relevant feature or commissioner action.
4. When information is shared
- Within a league. League members and authorized administrators may access participant or coach labels, profiles, membership and invitation details including email addresses, rosters, entries and picks, scores, standings, and Smack Talk messages. Information you contribute to a league is shared with its participants as supported by the service.
- Public contests. If you submit or copy an entry into an offered national contest, its public entries or standings may display your first or display name, state, source league title, avatar, selections or confidence rankings, lineup adjustments, scores, rank, and submission information as supported by that contest. Public standings are viewable without joining your private league. Do not put information you want to keep private into names or other fields shown publicly.
- Service providers. We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, hosting, data storage, backend processing, and operational monitoring. We use Resend to deliver application emails, which includes processing recipient addresses and message content. These providers process information as needed to provide their services and may process it in the United States or other locations where they operate.
- Support, safety, and legal obligations. Authorized people operating the service may access information to support users, administer contests, investigate problems, protect accounts, or respond to applicable legal requirements.
Some school logos are loaded from ESPN’s image service. Loading externally hosted content sends the external service technical request information, such as your IP address and browser information. Links to other websites, including wrestling-result sources, lead to services with their own privacy practices. You can read the privacy information provided by Google, Firebase, and Resend.
5. Cookies and browser storage
The app and its authentication services use browser storage, which can include cookies, local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB, to maintain sign-in sessions, remember preferences, and support app operation. Examples include your selected league or tab, a remembered sign-in email when that option is enabled, display preferences, and recovery information after an error. Recovery information can include account and league identifiers or an email address. Where configured, Google App Check and reCAPTCHA security features also process technical information to help prevent abuse.
You can sign out, turn off the remembered-email option, or clear site data in your browser. Clearing or blocking storage can sign you out, remove local preferences or unsaved work, and affect app features. Clearing browser data does not delete information already stored with your account or league.
6. Retention and security
We retain account, league, and contest information as needed to operate the service, preserve contest history and scoring, provide support, maintain security, and meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the information and its purpose; signing out or hiding a league does not automatically delete its records.
Information removed from active systems may remain temporarily in backups or operational records until their retention periods expire. Some shared contest records may need to be retained or separated from account-identifying information to preserve other participants’ results.
We use authentication, access controls, email-verification checks, and other safeguards to protect information. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and requests
You can update the profile fields available in the app and choose whether to enter an offered public national contest. Contact your commissioner about league membership and invitations.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or account, email support@fantasywrestlingchamp.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will explain any information that needs to remain for shared contest history, security, or applicable obligations. Account deletion is handled through support; it is not performed by clearing your browser data.
If you receive an invitation intended for someone else, or are a parent or guardian concerned that a child has provided personal information, contact us at the same address. Please do not send your password or a password-reset link.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or its information practices change. We will post the updated policy here and revise its effective date.
